BMC Build is a new build of Kodi + FireStick developed by the team behind Kodi and Supremacy. The project is currently underway to build the best and latest build of Kodi with the most bug free code for FireStick users. This build is currently in the Alpha stage where it is being tested by a small group of users. If you would like to help out with this project by becoming a tester, then follow the steps below.
In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to install BMC Build on FireStick and Kodi. The FireStick method also applies to Fire TV, Fire TV Stick 4K and Fire TV Cube. The Kodi method works on all devices that support Kodi, including the Amazon FireStick.
Badazz Media Center, better known as BMC, is behind new add-ons and builds for Kodi. BMC’s Build menu contains a decent collection of builds for a number of platforms supported by Kodi. BMC also offers a set of APKs that allow you to install builds separately on Android devices without having to install them on Kodi.
APK is essentially a fork of Kodi, but designed for certain BMC builds. They do not come with the default Kodi Estuary skin. In other words, when you install an APK build, you are installing a version of Kodi designed specifically for that build.
The biggest advantage of this arrangement is that you can continue to use Kodi as before, while enjoying your favorite BMC build as a standalone application. On the other hand, this limits BMC builds to Android only, as APKs cannot be used on other platforms.
Fortunately, you can install BMC builds directly on Kodi. The builds will be available on other platforms such as iOS, Mac, Windows, Linux, Raspberry Pi, etc.
Does this seem confusing to you? You shouldn’t do that. Let me simplify it for you. That’s exactly what we’re going to do today:
- Install BMC Build as a stand-alone application on the FireStick
- Install BMC Build on Kodi
Installing a BMC build on a FireStick
Attention FireStick users!
Governments and ISPs are constantly monitoring your online activities, and accessing copyrighted content on your Fire TV Stick can cause serious problems. Your IP is currently visible to everyone. I highly recommend you to buy the best FireStick VPN to hide your IP address and transfer your favorite games safely.
Personally, I use ExpressVPN, the fastest and most secure VPN on the market. Not only is it easy to install on any device, but it also comes with a risk-free 30-day money-back guarantee. And if you are not 100% satisfied, you can always get your money back. ExpressVPN is also currently offering an additional 3 months free for an annual plan!
Here are the reasons why using a VPN is essential at all times.
Before installing the BMC build application, make sure that your FireStick settings allow downloading third-party applications. Here’s what you need to do:
- On the FireStick or Fire TV home screen, go to Settings (this option is at the top).
- Find My Fire TV and click on it (it may also be listed as a device).
- Open development opportunities
- If the Applications from unknown sources option is disabled, click on it and enable it.
- Don’t worry about the following warning message. BMC FireStick is a secure application. Press Activate to continue
You can now install any third-party application on the FireStick.
BMC Build APK install on FireStick
You probably already know that the FireStick still does not allow you to download APK files directly from web browsers. Therefore, an additional application is required to download side-by-side applications to your device.
I recommend the download application. This is a simple and easy to use side loader for the FireStick. Here are the short steps to download and install this application:
- From the menu at the top of the FireStick start screen, select Search
- Type Downloader and click on the Downloader application in the search results.
- Follow the instructions on the screen and install the application.
The BMC Builds installation consists of two parts:
- Part 1: Install the Midian Builds interface
- Part 2: Install the desired set
Part 1: Installing Midian Builds Interface
You can think of the Midian Builds interface as a build menu from which you can select and install the build you want. Follow the steps below to install the Midian Builds interface:
- Open the Downloader application
- Click on the URL field on the right side of the window (make sure the Home tab is selected on the left).
- The on-screen keyboard appears. This is the URL you should enter: http://bit.ly/bmcbuild.
Press the Play button on the remote or the Go button on the screen after entering the URL.
- You should now be redirected to the browser section of the Downloader application. On the page that loads in your browser, you will see different constructions. You can choose any assembly for Kodi Krypton 17.6. I am using Midian Builds – 17.4.apk (it also works on 17.6).
- Wait until the Downloader application has downloaded the selected APK file. This may take a few minutes, depending on your internet speed.
- When the file is downloaded, the Downloader application starts automatically. In the next screen, click on Setup
- Wait for the Midian Builds APK to install. It may also take a minute or two
- When the Build application is installed, you will see the following window that says: Installed application. Press Done to return to the main download screen and delete the previously downloaded APK file. Deleting the file will save space in the FireStick’s memory.
- Press Delete
- Press Delete again
Part 2: Install the desired BMC assembly on the Fire TV Stick
Perform the following steps:
- Press and hold the Home button on the FireStick remote control for about 5 seconds until the following screen appears. Tap Apps and open your apps and channels.
- Scroll to the bottom of the application list and tap Midian Builds.
- In the Midian Builds interface, click on the build you want to install on the left. I still use krypton for demonstration purposes only. Moreover, all other versions, except the children’s version, offer the same content and differ only in graphic design.
- Wait for the build to download and install
- When the build is installed, you will see the following prompt. Click OK to force the Midian Builds interface to close.
- You will be returned to your applications and channels. If necessary, scroll down and click on Midian Builds again (as in the image below). This will open the Simply Krypton construction interface.
That’s it! You have successfully installed the BMC build on the FireStick. We will see this configuration later in this guide. At this point we will learn how to set up a VPN on the Fire Stick for secure streaming, then install the BMC build on Kodi.
Your FireStick / Fire TV is now ready to play your favorite content. But before I begin, let me warn you that everything you send online is visible to your ISP and to the government. This means that watching movies, TV shows and sports broadcasts for free can get you in trouble with the law.
Fortunately, there is a reliable way to hide all your streaming activities from your ISP and the government. All you need is a good VPN for the Fire Stick. A VPN masks your original IP address and helps you bypass surveillance, ISPs and geographical restrictions on content.
Personally, I use and recommend ExpressVPN, the fastest and most secure VPN. It is compatible with all types of streaming applications and is very easy to install on Fire TV / Stick.
We do not encourage copyright infringement. But what if you accidentally upload content from an illegal source? It is not always easy to distinguish between a legal and an illegal source.
So, before you start streaming on the Fire Stick / Fire TV, let’s see how you can use ExpressVPN to hide your streaming activities from prying eyes.
Step one: Sign up for ExpressVPN HERE. It comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. This means you can use it for free for the first 30 days. If you are not satisfied with the service (which is unlikely), you can ask for a full refund.
Step two: Turn on the Fire TV Stick and navigate to Search and then Search.
Step three: Now type expressvpn (without quotes) into the search bar and select ExpressVPN when it appears in the search results.
Step four: Click Download to install the ExpressVPN application on your Fire TV / Stick.
Step 5: Open the application and enter the credentials you created when you purchased your ExpressVPN subscription. Click on Connection.

Exploration of the CMBAssembly
Let me give you a brief overview of BMC Build. Since I have installed the Simply Krypton version in this tutorial, it is this version that we will examine.
Whether you have Simply Krypton BMC Build installed on the FireStick or directly on Kodi, you will see the same interface:
Wait for the build to finish updating the addons before using it. Building will be faster if all add-ons are updated.
The layout of the build is similar to most other builds with the menu bar at the bottom and across the screen. The menu items are listed below:
- Movies
- television program
- Something cool.
- Kids Club
- Sport
- Sounds like
- TV Guide
- System
Select an option, and the corresponding addons or options appear above the menu bar. For example, in the image above, the Cool Stuff option is selected, and the corresponding addons are shown above.
The submenu line is aligned with the bottom of the menu bar. However, it remains hidden by default. You have to pull it down. Simply select an option from the menu bar and press the down key to display it.
I have z. B. TV Shows was selected and the submenu bar slid down; the following options appeared:
To see a list of all video plug-ins, select System from the menu bar, go to the submenu, and click on Video Plug-ins. Simply Krypton has popular addons like :
- Star of Death
- The crown
- The magic dragon
- Rising Tides
- Excellence
- Yoda
- cCloud TV
- SportsDevil

Reduction
Badazz Media Center has created an impressive collection of builds for Kodi. I’ve tried all the builds and they work flawlessly on all platforms, including my FireStick. I used old builds because there have been no new and good builds lately. The BMC builds are promising, and I think I’ll be using them for a while.
