In this guide, we will be showing you a few ways to install and use Insomniacs builds on Kodi, without having to resort to using a repository, and also show you how to use them in combination with SoftEther TV.
Finding the best build for your Insomniac’s Kodi / FireStick system comes down to knowledge and experience. Our step-by-step guide will show you all the necessary steps to successfully use these builds, from finding them in the first place to using them on your device.
In this tutorial I will show you how to install Insomniac builds on Kodi 18.1 – Kodi 18.9 Leia. The instructions given here will work on all devices compatible with Kodi. You can install this version on FireStick, Fire TV, Fire TV Cube, Mac and Windows, Android mobile devices, Android TVs and set-top boxes, etc.

The Insomniacs team offers several versions to try on Kodi. At the time of writing, this magician has two versions. Black & Gold Build is one of my favorites. So I will use it here for demonstration purposes. However, you can choose any other assembly in this catalog. Let’s get started.

How do I install Insomniac builds on Kodi
This is a requirement for installing third-party builds like Insomniac’s Kodi builds. Kodi’s default security system does not allow such builds or add-ons. Therefore, we will avoid it. Perform the following steps:
#1 : On the home screen, click on Kodi Settings (I mean the cog icon).
#2 : Now click on System Settings in the screen that opens.

#3 : Go to and select Add-ons on the left side of the following window
#4 : On the right side of the same window, check whether Unknown Sources is enabled or disabled. If disabled, enable it
#5 : Press Yes to confirm your intention to activate.
By doing so, you authorize Kodi to install Insomniac’s Kodi builds. Let’s get down to business.
Step-by-step installation procedure
I will now take you step by step through the installation of this build. There are different levels. However, if you follow them carefully and in the order I’ve presented them, you’ll have one of Insomniac’s builds on Kodi within minutes.
I also divide the process into parts to make it easier to follow the steps:

- Part three: Install the version of Insomniacs you want on Kodi.
Now, without further ado, let’s get to work.

Part 1: Adding a source of insomnia
By adding a source, I simply mean that we give Kodi the URL of the source where it gets the Insomniacs master from. This is how it goes:
#1 : Launch the Kodi application and tap Settings again on the home screen.
#2 : In the next window, click on File manager
#3 : Then click Add a source
#4 : What you see now is a window. Click where it says <No>.
#5 : A new window appears where you can enter the source URL or path. Enter the following path in the empty field above and click OK: http://wiz.insomniacs.party/.

#6 : You will now return to this window. You must now name the source by checking the Give a name to this media source box. You can choose the name you want to use to identify this resource in one of the following steps.
I chose the name Insomnia.
Press OK.

Part 2: Installation of the Insomniacs Master
Wizards often serve as tools with various maintenance options. However, nowadays they are mostly used to install builds for Kodi. To install the Insomniacs Kodi build, first install the Insomniacs Wizard. Here’s how:
#1 : Go back to the Kodi home screen and click the Tools button (in the left sidebar).
#2 : Find the open window icon in the top left corner of the next screen and click on it (the icon is also called package installer).
#3 : Now click on the option Install from zip file
#4 : When you see the next window, find the name of the resource you added earlier and click on it. I click z. B. about insomnia, because that’s the title I chose.
#5 : Now click on the file ClickMeToInstall.zip

#6 : Wait until the Insomniacs Wizard add-on reports that it is installed. This may take more than a minute.
Message: Kodi shows no activity during the installation of the wizard. But don’t worry, the installation happens in the background. Be patient and wait for confirmation.
#7 : Once the wizard is installed, three pop-up windows appear, one after the other. The first window that appears is the developer notes window. Read it if you want. Press the Cancel button when finished
#8 : In the second pop-up window you will find many settings. Some qualify, some don’t. To activate a parameter, select it. You can also leave it without selecting any parameters. When you are finished, click Next
#9 : Click on Ignore on the third.
Yes, we want to go to the build menu, but we’re going to do it from the main screen of Kodi. However, if you want to go there directly, click on the Build Menu button.
You have successfully installed the Insomniacs Wizard. They’re ready to go.
Part 3: Install Insomniac’s version of Kodi
We now use the Insomniacs Wizard add-on to install the assemblies. As I write this guide, there are 4 builds of Kodi installed on this wizard:

In this tutorial, I will use the black and gold version as a demonstration. Perform the following steps:
#1 : Back to the Kodi home screen
#2 : Click on the Extras button on the left.
#3 : In the next window, click on Program Add-ons. Click on the Insomniacs Wizard icon when you see it.
#4 : In the next window, select the Builds tab in the top left corner.
Kodi 18 Leia: You will then see a different interface. Select the Buildings option.
#5 : Click on Insomniacs – Black & Gold Build (depends on your Kodi version)
#6 : Click on the Install button on the right.
Kodi 18 Leia: Click on New Setup
#7 : Click Yes, Install to confirm you want to install the build.
Kodi 18 Leia: Click on Next
#8 : Wait until the set is installed. The build first downloads the data and then installs it. It takes 3-4 minutes.
#9 : Once the build is installed, click OK to force close Kodi.
That’s it! You have successfully installed the Insomniacs build on Kodi. Now restart Kodi and the build will take effect.
