Celebrity cruises have become one of the most prominent holidays for the rich and famous. But with the rise of affordable luxury, the number of passengers on these luxury cruises has declined. This summer, high-end cruise line Oceania announced that it would shut down its business—leaving passengers searching for alternatives to their beloved cruises, or having to cancel their trips altogether.

The world’s second-largest cruise line, Princess Cruises, announced last week that the brand will resume operations from January 2019 to April 2023. However, rather than sail from its US port headquarters in Galveston, Texas, the vessel will continue to return to its home in Australia.

Cunard Line announces new international itineraries to succeed domestic services on the Queen Elizabeth ship from July 2023. The cruise line had been suspended since March 2023, but now cruise ships are finally returning to the UK. There are more cancellations for 2023.

Cancel Cunard

Now that Cunard has announced its intention to resume cruises on each of its ships, cancellations continue around the world.

Palethorpe continued: Unfortunately, the way back to international waters is not so clear, and we regret that the cancellation of the flights is a great disappointment for all customers involved. Unfortunately, there are just too many international ports that are called upon by the current complexity of COVID-19, which unfortunately led to this decision.

We are very excited about the new itineraries mentioned, such as the Queen Mary 2 sailing in the Caribbean, and we hope they will appeal to those looking for the long-awaited winter sun and those looking for adventure later this year and in 2023.

Here are the dates of the fleet cancellations:

  • The Queen Elizabeth flies between the UK and Australia and the Australian season is from 18. October 2023 to 9. March 2023.
  • The 2023 world tours on the ships Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria have been cancelled.
  • The voyage of the Queen Victoria from 10. September 2023 to 29. The month of April 2023 has been deleted.
